About
I graduated in 2008 from the University of Southern California (Fight on!) with a degree in English. I was inspired to this end thanks particularly to my mother, who read The Hobbit to us as children; to my high school English teacher, Mr. Brendan Powers, who was not afraid to teach basic grammar to seniors; and to Mrs. Josephine Golcher, my long-suffering physics teacher who got me past my first rejection letter with patience, kindness and understanding.
Bread Crumbs to the Stars encompasses several of my chief interests: science-fiction/fantasy, crime drama, television, and real life events. After all, the first three are inextricably linked to the last.
I watch a select number of TV shows, and will write about them in my blog. These include:
- Stargate SG-1* & Stargate Atlantis*
- Star Trek (all series)*
- Farscape*
- Firefly*
- Doctor Who
- Torchwood
- Eureka
- Charmed*
- Law & Order, SVU, & Criminal Intent
- The Closer
- CSI, CSI: Miami, CSI: NY
- Bones
- Survivor
Note that some of these are available only in syndication or on DVD and are no longer airing new episodes. But these are also my favorite series, the ones I will write about the most often. Sorry to you fans ofSmallville, Lost, and Heroes, I just never got into those. Also note that I will not limit myself to those on this list, either. I will occasionally include other series which I am still catching up on, such asLas VegasandNumbers. The above list is comprised of shows of which I have seen most if not all the episodes.
On a side note, certain of these series run only on cable and/or are “summer” series, which air new episodes while most others are in hiatus. These include The Closer, Stargate Atlantis, and Eureka. Which means I almost always have something about which to write. Lucky me!
I have marked discontinued series with an *. Stargate Atlantis is a special case, as it is still airing new episodes through the end of this season.
